Looks like I'll be going on my first duck hunt down on the island.
Anybody heard any good or bad or have some tips?
Thanks

Do you know what part of the bay you're headed? Where you staying?
Anahuac Wildlife Refuge on the far east end is a good spot, but a long boat ride if staying on the island.
If West Bay, the north side has better marsh and back lakes north of the ICW. Greens Lake, Caranchua, Highland Bayou.
If East Bay, there are better bayous, sloughs, back lakes between the ICW and the bay. Yates Bayou, Big Pasture Bayou.
