Does anyone do these on here? Is one better than the other?

Anybody won/lost a lot?

wrong board guy...

To answer your question, yes I use Fanduel and have had my share of $50 wins and multiple weeks where I haven't won anything.

ETA: it is now on the right board

Never looked into them. The commercials feel like a scam. How much has your friend been winning?

It's not a scam at all. You put money in and then depending on the sport you set up, it can be a weekly or daily fantasy lineup. Obviously NFL you get once a week, but basketball/baseball/hockey you can have multiple entries a week. I'm sure there is a withdrawal limit, but I have never taken any of my money out so i don't know how that whole process works.

that would likely be the biggest factor in john q. public deciding if they want to play or not, I'd imagine.

they take out 10% your of winnings when you cash out.

also, if you win more than $600 at a time they have to notify the IRS I think.

It's not a scam. I've won over $10k since I began in September. I play every day. Most days it's a slow bleed but when you win a huge tournament it more than makes up for those days.

The NBA just signed on to take an ownership stake in Fanduel. They wouldn't be getting into bed with a sketchy, fly-by-night operation. It's only a matter of time before daily fantasy sports overtakes the traditional fantasy sports format in popularity.

I was wondering how they made their money. I couldn't get on the site with work filters.

I may have to look into this after work.

Nope.

Even though daily fantasy sports was explicitly exempted from the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, some state laws still don't allow it.

I'd like to be the first to welcome you to the other side. If you're a sports fan and have disposable income you'll find it extremely addicting.

the juice is ridiculous on each game

be prepared, the guys in the $25-109 games don't fool around. this is their livelihood. They put out close to 10K a day on games vs public.

You try to find the noob, not the pro.

I've picked sleeper after sleeper, and the derelicts either have him or another sleeper who scores 2 td's.

Next season I am only doing Fanduel for fantasy football. It's less bullshite and agony when your team gets decimated by injuries.
