Said he died of cancer. Didn't know he had cancer. He was a really good singer over the years. RIP

Saw him at the Warehouse w/ Leon Russell & Mad Dogs & Englishmen. What a great performer. He will be missed. RIP.

I saw Joe perform @ Red Rocks, roughly 15 years ago.

The altitude of the amphitheater is approximately 6,500'

Joe was cruising comfortably at 75,000'.

He was a great musician. I like to listen to him when I'm sad or having a bad day (like today). Going to put him on my Spotify right now.

I just learned that Joe had been living in SW CO for quite some time. I guess he bought the land and built the house when he was at the top. The same article said he was having financial problems at the time of his death.
