At what point does performance play into raises?

Les Miles and Cam. I actually think that both of them are currently overpaid.

Hate to say it but I agree on the cam analysis. Overrated. Bad year this year and I don't see much hope for next

I thought Chavis just got a one year extension for the same salary he will have next year. He didn't get a raise (I don't think)

Bradley Dale Peveto comes back for 1 year to coach ST and that unit goes from a bright spot to a fricking disaster.

He has a poisonous touch. Get him out of here.

I read one year yesterday but you're right - I'm seeing the 3 yr extension reported now. 1.3M/per year so same salary as the 2015 season from his current contract.

Anyone wonder why Chavis stays with Miles? Chavis could be known as one of the all time the best DC's ever(still may be), if the offense could stay on the field and score 30 a game.
His job would be much easier. It must be getting old to carry this team almost every year. Add in the departures.....

Why....?

PS
But lets fire Miles, hes not any good.

Ensminger who I'm not even sure what his role on then staff is

Peveto - how this dude gets a job here after being an utter failure is beyond me. Our ST were shite in several games too so not surprising. Must be nice to be in your best bud's BBQ coaching circle so you can make 6 figures failing at your job.

5th in the country in time of possession. Averaged 35 ppg last year. 25 this year. Problem last year was the defense. Everyone wants to forget that fact. Everyone also points to the offense not being all world with 4 NFL starters, but for some reason, I never see anyone complain about not having the top defense in college football every year despite the number of NFL players we produce on that side of the ball.

That's cuz the defense is consistently good aside from 1 year and often bailing us out in games.

The defense got off slow this year but steadily matured. It should've been better earlier but some guys just took longer to mature than expected like Hunter. If everyone stays this team could be nasty on defense next year.

Offense on the other hand had 1 great season under Miles and 2 decent/good ones while the rest have been bad.
