I said within the next 1000 years haha.

Look at how much technology has advanced over the last 50 years. If you think we are anywhere near the asymptote you are mistaken.

It's why we have not been visited by super advanced beings. By the time a species gets so advanced that it can travel to other worlds and make a meaningful impact, that species is probably at war/about to be at war with its AIs.

If that's why we haven't been visited by super advanced natural beings, then why wouldn't we have been super advanced artificial intelligence beings?

The universe is so big, even traveling at the speed of light would take 1000s of years to get anywhere. By the way, singularity is used sloppily. Singularity in the physics world isn't about robots taking over.

By the way, physicists are already on the another theory. We're all just a hologram.

It's not used sloppily. "Singularity" or "technological singularity" is a common phrase referring to the point in time when artificial intelligence reaches the point that it can start improving itself. The term was first used by mathematicians discussing the possibility.

What would be an AI's motivation for continued operation? Would they live to create energy to power other AI beings?
