Lodi police say that two men with shotguns robbed the club, Satin Dolls, early Sunday morning. The men fled after the robbery.
A local blogger reported that police say the two men pointed their weapons at the club’s owner, his girlfriend and a manager, hitting one with the butt end of a gun and forcing them to open a safe.
Satin Dolls stood in as the Bada Bing strip club on the popular HBO show. Mob boss Tony Soprano, played by the late James Gandolfini, kept an office in one of the back rooms of the fictional club.
For its part in Sopranos lore, Satin Dolls saw an uptick in business during and after the show’s run.
