Chavis is working over them Aggies........Not only can we now credit Chavis with owning the Aggie offense, but we can also credit him with not hiring a coordinator and imploding their defensive class.

Let's hope that is what he is doing. I assume he didn't sign his contract. And he does jump I think then Mack is heading to TCU

If Chavis goes, we should go after Saban for DC. Shoot the moon, Les!

Chavis should milk LSU for more money just like miles did.

He's in a good position.

At this stage and age of his career, why Chief would want to teach Tejas soft 7-on-7 campers how to smashmouth D is beyond me?

It is the chore for a younger man imho. Boom,etc..was needed. TAM's D and the lost momentum since Wrecking Crew days long ago..gonna take a tenure to teach and infirm into the culture.

It's a problem in that state from the bottom-up and from the top-down. Patterson and Strong can only do so much, it's gonna require the Texas HS coaches too.

But, they are super desperate, and probably willing to spend 2 to 2.5M of that oil money.

Chavis is still under contract and has a decent size buy out iirc.

I think Chavis is only signed through 2015 for 1.3m (does anyone know if this is true?).

If A&M offers him some obscene amount (2m a year) for 5 years he may go for it if LSU doesn't up the ante.

That would be really dumb for any school to pay a coordinater that much.

A&M has a 0% chance at Chavis

Alleva knows if he lost Chavis simply due to money he'd he be hung by the fanbase.

That being said, the Aggies could offer 2 mil and we offer 1.5 mil and he'd stick with us because he's one of the most loyal coaches in CFB. He doesnt want to spend his last few years with a dumpster fire rebuild and an offense that puts his defense on the field 40 minutes a game.
