Rewind the clock a few years. Dallas had a terrible defense and a sub standard offensive line. Romo put up a lot of numbers but seemed to make critical mistakes in the form of interceptions. At this same time Drew Brees played behind an outstanding offensive line and had a defense who that could make stops and get turnovers. Brees also made few mistakes because he didn't have to make plays all the time. He didn't have to score every time.

Fast forward to today and the roles are reversed almost exactly. My point being there is a lot of hate coming towards Brees right now similar to the hate Tony Romo received (always throws the back breaking turnover etc). I don't find this to be entirely fair. While Brees is responsible for those decisions, the offensive line is an absolute mess and the defense can't stop a nosebleed most days. I understand the anger with Brees today, but Brees is not the problem by far.

I agree Brees is better than Romo. The situations however mirror each other and the need for a QB to have a little help.
