re: Why I've always thought the opposition to 18-game NFL sked is dishonest

for the rights of players to use drugs that make their bodies unrealistically big and strong to the point that this sport is killing them, and the body count will only rise

I already did in a previous post.
ETA: And since I apparently gave you too much credit for remembering half a page of posts ago, here it is again:

If a starter sits out one series per football game, he'll play about the same number of snaps in an 18-game schedule as he does currently.
You have to be trolling to keep trotting out this utterly retarded "logic." Surely you can't be this stupid, can you?
But let's pretend you're serious. Carrying your "logic" further, apparently you think sitting out one series per game over 18 regular season games would have an equal effect for a player's body's healing process as sitting out for two consecutive weeks. Do you actually think this?

Please grind the ax elsewhere. I said it isn't unfair. That's my only point.

The average player plays 13 minutes a game. There's nothing wrong with 18 games. If you're overworked, that's why there's a 53-man roster.
It just adds to the wear and tear on players. Everyone knows hat, and whats the point of adding 2 games if they become JV games, where everyone is playing their second string?

Kinda OT but I've never understood this about the NFL. Why do they leave these guys in so late into blowouts?
