And I've debunked the good late drafting of the Oline many times. We've had more busts than hits late, especially when you factor in Nicks being a first round talent that fell because of character issues.

the only O-lineman we have that I'm excited about is Armstead.

i think if we had that high of a pick we'd have to take a look at a pass rusher ?

i have absolute no faith in this team drafting cornerbacks.

maybe a LB will emerge in this class.. I like Shaq Thompson.

is he a Top 10 talent though? I haven't seen him play much.

I know Cooper but not the other guys. But we should not be taking a WR in that he first.

Look at Cooks and Stills this year. Their production was hurt because Brees never had time to throw. Another receiver is NOT going to help us. We need to fix this line first. Then you will see what we have is good enough to win(on offense).

We need cover guys in general on defense. They "lack" of pass rush was because we allowed quick passes all year. I am sick of hearing about it. Either fix the coverage schemes or get guys that can run them.

I might change my tune after I see what we do in FA...till something happens though I know where our biggest weaknesses are and WR really isn't one of them...

C - FA/3rd-4th Round can get you a Starter

G - Evans/Grubbs - neither has been cut/restructured till that happens we don't have an opening...chances are 1 of them will be gone...1st-2nd rounder for an immediate starter/FA

DT - Jenkins regressed, Bunkley is on the verge of being cut...IDK where you want to find another body FA or draft

LB - Lofton and...

CB - Lewis and...

WR - Colston: Still capable of being a no.2, Graham is still a top 3 TE, Cooks and Stills are dynamic if used...like at all.

RB - If Ingram doesn't return...thats a need as well

I'm not against drafting OL at all. I would hope we trade back as it doesn't seem so far there's a top 10 guy that will be available for us. Maybe LB is the way to go that high. I like Benardrick McKinney at ILB a lot. You also have Fowler and Shane Ray to go with Beasley and Shaq at OLB.

As far as DB Collins at SS and PJ Williams and Trae Waynes at CB are projected top 15.

Here's another nugget to digest. What did every NFC South team have in common aside from a losing record? That answer will tell you why we all sucks this year.

Since our season is over early this year I might start checking those guys out early.

This season has been far more frustrating than the bounty gate bull shite year.

Agreed. The pass rush is pathetic this year. Is that scheme, no heart, or??

Nope

I listed a few that I think we'll be looking at.

He's very talented and can "even play RB!!" We'll get the "Did you know Jimmy played basketball" remarks with Thompson for sure

3 selected WRs
1 picked a OT

I really like Shane Ray from Mizzou...would love to add him to our front 7.

i know some guys won't be back.

we haven't had a competent linebacker core since the dome patrol days. Can we build a complete team for once please? Vilma was great and helped bring us a ring but we need to change the defensive culture in N. O. Defense wins championships (see Seattle) You can trash half of the current roster and start rebuilding. It will take 2-3 years to return to a playoff contender.

So even though 3 selected impact WRs and one selected a future "pro bowl" LT they all still had struggles on offense.

The answer is we all had shifty offensive lines. Whether it was injuries, guys leaving, or players degrading, every line in the division could be up for worst line in the league.

That's why we all sucked think year.

Scherff looks it, and has the measurables to play inside, but he doesn't have much (maybe any) experience at guard. Still, he's strong as frick, and I think he would be a great fit. Scherff in the first and Cam Irving in the second (center/guard for FSU, has experience at RT) would be awesome.

yeah, I like Scherff but not sure he'll be there for us. He did have some knee surgery too, but I don't think he missed any time.

I agree entirely.

Saints went into the year with 2 pretty big holes that were never addressed properly.

Replacing Jabari
Finding a Center

Those needs will be recycled into this years pile of needs and it makes this chore look the most daunting.

Need a Center
Need at least 1 OG
Need a DT
Need a pass rusher
Need a coverage linebacker
Need a CB
Need a NB who can start at corner if needed
*Might need a RB

This does not include coaching changes and other positions that may become a need due to front office decisions.

I want a higher draft pick, but drafting is overrated in terms of immediate results.

We need to make some smart moves on the staff and in FA first.

Pass rush is fine and will auto correct if we get some guys that can cover.

Warren is a start and moving Vaccaro back into a nickel/rover role helps. Getting Byrd and Bush back will help. We need a corner or two and a cover LB or two.

Then the pass rush will show. You can't let the other QB let off in one or two seconds and expect to have a rush.

I said pass rush because I want Shane Ray

the thought of Him, Galette, Jordan, and Hicks attacking Ryan, Newton, everyone makes we want to

We need to do something about the DL.
And I don't mean find new players.

Jordan went from an all star to just a guy.
Why?
