Would he have made more? Maybe considering we haven't had a really good white fighter in awhile, but boxing is also dwindling it seems in numbers (nothing to back that up, just an opinion) and there seems to be a lack of really good fighters now.

mike Tyson made shite tons of money bc he was a HW and amazingly exciting. And was black.
Who wants to pay $70 to watch a tiny person run around the ring, dodging all punches, throwing only enough to win the round, for 12 rounds, against some no namer who was hyped as the next big thing who we never hear from again after the fight? This race thing with him is complete shite. Especially bc there was a fight 8 years ago everyone wanted to see and would've paid for, but these clowns refused to make it happen
