I'm so glad I live in South Louis iana where people aren't so freaked out about alcohol. What's the big deal about bringing kids into a liquor store? They aren't giving away free samples.

It's illegal in alabama. And the Alabama Beverage Control is pretty strict.

I definitely sat in the car as my dad picked up a bottle of whiskey at the liquor store. I turned out fine and I think he was a good father.

Thr correct answer is selling liquor in regular stores so you don't have to worry about this shite.

As a Louisiana native, I was shocked the first time I went to Winn Dixie in Mississippi and tried to pick up a bottle of wine. I found the cheap stuff (Boone's), but I could not comprehend why I had to go to a different store for the good stuff. This state's alcohol laws are unnecessarily restrictive.

Also, although I have never personally taken my daughter in the liquor store, I have seen kids in there and thought nothing of it. The owner's kid was in a playpen behind the counter last time I went. I just assumed their child care plans fell through.
