Great show... some episodes are hard to get through but the ending is awesome. I had to watch futurama in between episodes sometimes just to lighten the mood

second best tv show of all time behind The Wire. Its an amazing character driven story that only Mad Men can rival. Michael C Hall is astounding, and this roll is what got him Dexter, but Peter Krause is just as good, if not better throughout the series. The show will definitely make you think, and yes, the last few episodes(including the finale) is one of the best of all time.

Really good. My wife forced me to watch it and it took me a couple of episodes to start getting into it but I have seen it probably 10 times. Richard Jenkins is great. Krause and Hall are great too. Also, my favorite Cathy Bates role.

Its been out for a long time. I have never paid for cable so I tended to rewatch what I had on the hard drive until Netflix.

It could be a time or two less than 10.

Great show. Very depressing. I'd take a break between each season.

I'm debating whether to make Six Feet Under my next TV series to watch. Leaning towards yes.

good show. character driven as others have noted. I'm sure I'm not the only one to feel that there are times when it felt like the writers were playing with how unlikable and fallible they could make all of the characters without letting the audience lose interest.

the finale is good but my expectations were raised too high before I saw it so that lessened the gravity of it

Do it, man. Great show. But remember that it's a show with depressing moments 90% of the time so you may need to take a break between seasons. The reason is because after 2 or 3 seasons you might get tired of a show with very few positive moments.
