Congratulations on the win but seriously? My Facebook is blowing up with Cajuns about first team in history to 4peat a bowl. Ughh, by definition the first bowl of the season is the worse bowl, so I'm not really thinking they understand what they're bragging about...

Well, it's better than having losing seasons and not going to bowls at all. But like I said, I still want to see us get into another conference and compete for better bowls.

But to be honest, I'd prefer we did more to strengthen the basketball program, which has more history and a better venue, equipped for fans who'd show up if we put a great team on the floor, which is easier to do in basketball than it is in football. But, the Monclas didn't play basketball. They played football, and there don't seem to be many other deep pockets willing to contribute to the university.

If you go anywhere other than Louisiana or Texas there will be about 300 Cajun fans in attendance. Be thankful that your team keeps getting New Orleans where a lot of Cajun fans can make their first game of the year.

UL should try to make a run at Mobile next season, IMO.

Sunbelt has lousy bowls in general, but the NOLA bowl is best of the bunch.
Congrats to the Cajuns.

Especially when 99% of them never put on a uniform for a D-1 athletic program. Bunch of message board badasses, they are.

What % of the Cajun fans were D-1 athletes on this message board???

O/U 50%

I enjoy seeing all LA schools outside of Tulane succeed. But there is definitely a feeling among some ULL fans that they are better in some way than LSU. I don't know what in, but sure. Happy they are doing so well, and cannot believe Hud has not gotten any offers from a Power-5 school.

I also agree with the poster that said ULL could have a very good mid-major basketball program. The Cajun Dome is very nice, and maybe better than the PMAC, just history, tradition, and the practice facility put it over the top for me.

I have a good friend that played for ULL from 2008-2012 and he 100% believes they could've beat LSU any of those years. I just always tell him that a ULL touchdown would be the first step. Once they get one of those then maybe he can start talking.

The fact that he's one of those LSU fans who "don't care about ULL" and chimes in every chance he can to shite on anything to do with Cajun athletics.
