For the sake of a Rant meltdown, I kinda hope we have shite QB play again next year and go 12-0. Assuming Kwon, Vadal, and Hawkins stay next year, I honestly think that we can beat anyone if Jennings can consistently put up a stat line like:

11/20 140 yds 1 TD 1 INT
9 carries 40 yds

So 2011 all over again

If LSU does not make then playoffs next year, AND brandon harris is not a significant contributor (at least splitting time if he isnt starting), I will bet you $50 we are talking about Les on the hot seat 1 year from now.

I will watch the reports on Spring practice and see what happens butt, until then, have other things to keep me busy. bH for,QB is how I feel right now tho after seeing this year's QB product.

From the reports at this years spring game you would of thought it was almost clear that Harris would be the starter

That's what CLM said that was happening this season, and Jennings lost 3 games. This coaching staff doesn't anything about winning quarterback play.

With Mett as our QB, our D would have lost the MSST game and our OL would have lost the Arky game.

Officiating and Domingue lost the Bama game.

People are quick to dismiss the 2011 offense. It was better than people care to remember.

our passing offense wasn't

and we put up some stinkers on offense until the D or ST bailed us out. UGA in the SECCG is the big example

mo's KOR for a TD against WV was the game changer

TM7 had like 4-5 game changers to swing things

we threw it sparingly and only in favorable positions. it was efficient (under lee) but tertiary

our primary offense was running

our secondary offense was defense/special teams

our tertiary offense was passing

If Jennings is the starter in 2015, we will again have a lousy passing game and it will be an indication that BH is not going to be the answer. Given that we also aren't exactly pulling a top flight QB in recruiting this year, a VERY bad omen.

I'm not hoping BH starts because I have any reason to know he's better. I just know that if he's not better than AJ, LSU is fricked.

In 2014 games in which Anthony Jennings had a QB rating of 106 or higher, LSU won the game.

I'd fricking hope so

McMillan just won back to back 6A championships and we have Franks and Patterson next year.

He'll be the starter next year and he has a pretty low ceiling, talent wise. I think the best he can be is "serviceable." I haven't seen any improvement as of yet. Hopefully he'll prove a lot of people wrong but I think those odds are pretty low.

Did I say that?

Nope. But bad is bad, and AJ is just bad. He lacks talent. He will almost certainly improve. Alas, with drastic improvement, he'll upgrade from terrible to just bad.

McMillan is rated two stars by some services. Just sayin..........

Well, given that I was speaking about help being on the way for 2015, then obviously I wasn't addressing them.

That said. AJ is f'n godawful. That aint gonna change by a wide margin. Hence, if BH can't beat him out next year, then by extension, he's pretty bad too and our incoming guy is 2-3 stars. So, AT BEST, we would be left to hope Mr. 3 star can offer IMMEDIATE help.

The list of 3 star QBs in history that have done this is EXCEEDINGLY short...........

AJ is the Welter on offense. Seems like a nice kid but I think all the pieces are there on O except the QB. And like the post earlier stated, if Harris can't win the spot we are in deep shite.
