The rant knows how to read the win/loss column. It's ashame some of you morons can't get the sunshine out of your eyes long enough to realize the only numbers that matter are showing a decline. 6-2,5-3 and 4-4. It's really that simple.

Hey while you are cherry picking stats why not just say we are 0-3 against teams that start with the letter A. Would that make you feel better?

No but we are 0-4 against the class of our division in the last 3 years.

How the hell is citing our conference record for the last thee years 'cherry picking'?

Guess one of those losses was so painful that the NCAA decided to vacate the win.

Which win was that, and did it come in the last three years?

You're right I should break out our W-L record against rent a wins. Maybe we should create a National Championship playoff for teams with overpaid coaching staffs playing against rent a wins.

Proviso is you have to throw the conference W-L record out of consideration.

How do you lose 4 games when you've only played 3?

I'm not great at math but 1-9-12 was three years ago. If it makes you feel better we can say we are 3-6 against the class of our division since Saban got there. Of course one of those wins came in a year when neither of us were in contention (2010). Or 1-4 in the last four seasons. It really doesn't matter how you slice it up we are being owned by one team in our division.

And as of late we also picking up at least one loss per year to a team outside the top 25.

Dumb?

It isn't dumb, it's self-evident.
A comparison of Big Ten and SEC-W teams in terms of "productivity" is beyond dumb!

Clearly. Today is 12-20-14.

So is the rest of the Division, Conference, and Country. Is the sole measure of our season how we perform against Alabama?

Absolutely, being competitive in your own division is pretty important. We have not been year in and year out competitive against the best team in our division for the last 5 years and we have not really been in serious contention for the division title since the first weekend in November of 2012.

Yet you are comparing that with Big Ten teams? Which of Ohio State's B-10 opponents are "class of the division"?

We don't play in the Big 10. We play in the SEC and pay SEC money. So our measure of success should be what we do in the SEC.

How this elementary concept bypasses anyone is beyond comprehension.

I'm sorry but this is bullshite. We may not have won much but we're the only team in the conference that annually goes toe-to-to with them.

I'm pretty sure the W-L record in the SEC the last three years is the only "metric" that means a thing.

At the end of the day, this is the only stat that matters (conference and overall). This has been the long debate on here (style vs result), but W-L is it. Since 1/9/12, it's been lower than it should be.

Does LSU play Defense and Special Teams too?

How have we done with this "offense only" ranking system in the past?

I love miserable fans, BTW.

You're not allowed to post stuff like this here.

1. Miles is the winnigest coach in LSU history.

2. Best OOC record in coaching.

3. Can't compare vs Bama bc they're just too good,
fans expectations are unrealistic.

4. We're young, just like 2012-2013.

5. Who do you want to hire if you don't like our current coaching staff?

6. No one we can hire would beat Bama.

7. But we really kept it close vs Bama in 2012/2014.

8. This is the golden age of LSU football do you remember the 90's ?

9. Just wait until next year

Even though it's dripping with sarcasm, those are all the legit points of optimism.

It isn't that people can't/shouldn't post negative or critical things, it's the level of logic that's often crap.

I don't see many people trashing legit criticism of the QB development situation (current or historical), but to assume Miles picks the worse QB of the two he sees every day in practice is dumb.

Also, name me a coach and staff that could come in and do a better overall job vs Saban and Bama (besides maybe Saban).

Should we lose to Arky? No
Should we lose to any school with Miss in the name? Probably not

What are you talking about?

I'm just getting that out of the way so we don't have to have it all posted in numerous posts.
