Doe down. She came out before her little yearlings and now they're trying to find their momma... ETA now they've found her and they're smelling her.

I slept in and didn't make it to the deer blind because of the rain and wind.

I've been thinking about trying to shoot a few wood ducks on the same place I deer hunt but I have no idea wtf I'm doing. I've heard them at daylight while deer hunting, but would it even be worth trying to go late in the morning or during the day like this?

No. They will be long gone after early morning and you'd shoot them out of their roost in the afternoon, IMO.
