Why you stressing over some BS restaurant job? They're a dime a dozen, grow a pair and get an OT engineering job at $250K a year! You ever heard of engineering or bust fool?

I wish but I am going to be anxious and nervous as frick until I know what is happening thats why I posted this on here because I can't sleep

The two managers on duty are on opposite ends here.

The one who helped stashed the alcohol has been there from the beginning and is probably buddy-buddy with the GM.

The one who is on my side came in October and is already quitting because he thinks the GM is incompetent. He said he will go to bat for me though but he doesn't come work tomorrow and neither do I so if this gets brought up tomorrow I will have the deck stacked against me.

So you are working a restaurant or catering job, you did your job on preventing a drunk driving incident. You can easily move on to another job in your industry.

Maybe in BR or NO but I live in freaking Iowa there isn't much here I am lucky to have what I have

There is a new wing place that opened up next door though maybe I will go by there even if I get to keep my job. The management really is that incompetent and I have posted about them on the OT several times already.

That's the TV business for you... I work in Television and you have to start in small markets and work your way up

Can't wait till I put my time in here and can move onto a larger mid sized market that has a station in my broadcast company like Nashville, San Antonio, Charlotte, or move back to Las Vegas where I used to live

You understand the type of clientele that frequent a wing shop? I hope you understand the types of tips you'll receive? You'd be lucky if you get a party of 8 to leave you .50? Hope you've done your research?

1. Why were you already on a short leash?

2. Man, I don't know what it feels like to lose a loved one over drink driving, so while I'll readily admit that you and I have different life experiences, you sound like one of those nazi type "anti this or anti that" type of person. Chasing them down in a parking lot? Twice? Really? Your entire post had a "me vs them" tone it, and leaves w/the impression that you are a seeker of confrontation. I'm for some reason getting the impression that drinking and driving aren't the only things that you very vocally oppose.

If I'm off base here, my apologies, and in any case, sorry for your loss.

The guy ended up getting fired though for dealing drugs on restaurant property and it has been 100x better since he left

I would say there is some truth to this

I didn't "chase them down", the first car they piled into was parked right outside the entrance to the restaurant so I called the police from inside. When they found out I wasn't joking they made their way to another employee's car that was farther away and thats when I left the restaurant to get that plate number too.

But I do tend to get really irrational and adrenaline fueled when the subject of drunk driving gets brought up or arises, especially when it involves 19 year old kids telling others not to worry because they are good drunk drivers and brag about their drunk driving skills.

Maybe this is your chance to go to engineering school to make the aforementioned $250k?
