Fake may have been the wrong word choice, fair enough. All I'm getting at is it seems a bit odd that North Korea was able to do this, let alone do this.

But again, apparently it isn't the first time, and some others have pointed out that it could have been done in conjunction with China or an ex-Sony employee.

In any case, I was just throwing out rather ridiculous ideas to see if anyone else had thought similarly. I can totally see a bad movie being made about a rival movie studio hacking and framing another movie studio to acquire rights to the hacked studio's properties. Would be utterly ridiculous, but it's funny to think about.
