Your bookshelves are pretty depressing.

At least he's honest. Mine are full of books I'm never going to read again, as well as books I've never read and probably won't. Bookshelves are almost as obsolete as CD towers.

Also, I clicked thinking people were going to be showing pics of their computers. Disappoint.

The walls are bare as well. Looks like an insane asylum or North Korea where books and art are banned and possession of which results in death.

Well, since OP posted a sound system, I'll post the most expensive sound system in my house:

(too lazy to clean the tools, PC parts, and papers off my desk to take an actual photo)

60" Panasonic plasma
Yamaha Receiver
1 Polk center channel
1 Polk 12" sub
2 Polk floor standing speakers
6 in ceiling Polk speakers (2 in kitchen)

In the process of getting built in shelves made in the office for the new 27" iMac Retina... should look similar to this

Only sound system for computer is Sennheiser Momentum over ear headphones

I need to wall off that motherfricking bookshelf. I have zero idea why previous owner had a bookshelf on a living room.

I have four satellites, but otherwise the same setup.

Just picked up a second Polk sub to rumble the house even more

While it looks nice metal drivers and nothing soft on the floor and walls to absorb sound is a recipe for a screachingly bright sounding room.

I'm in the middle of a rework on my system but I'll try to get some picks up of the racks.

Agreed. I've noticed that hard wood floors are terrible for sounds. It sounded much better on carpeted floor
