That's one of the reasons I thought we had a chance before hearing Tyreke was out. The Pels surprised me with how well they played though. The only real negative was John Salmons.

Yeah, y'all went on a run at the end. It was a tight game throughout.

Boom emailed me his metrics for the game:

James Harden - +46
Dwight Howard - *****

Jrue Holiday - A velvet painting of a whale
Anthony Davis - 7 Thumbs down

who? boom?

he did a one week ban bet that AD wouldn't have a better game than harden and/or howard according to boommetrics.

I do have to admit it was a pretty funny and smart strategy by him.

Get regular posters to be seen as bad as him by association. But no, I don't know him.

If I did I would punch him in the balls.

He made another ban bet based on vague terms, if his own personally calculated "game impact" score that he won't explain to us because trade secrets showed AD had a greater impact than Harden or Dwight, he would ban himself for a week. Fortunately AD dominated, got the W and gave Boom no wiggle room.

he makes some of his lies too apparent for semi intelligent people to believe anything he says on here

I don't know. 2 more made 3's, and preventing 2 offensive rebound put-backs is a 10 point swing.

It just takes that extra bit of energy for games to be much different.

One play that summed up the night was when the Rockets got 3 offensive rebounds and missed 3 wide-open 3's badly on he same possession. They were trying but just didn't have their legs.

can we let this go and we can just enjoy this victory? we play again in the not too distant future so hopefully it's not on a B2B for Houston so if we win we can enjoy it

Where it would have showed up is y'all not giving up at the end. That Jrue slam was the nail in the coffin. 5 Rockets standing around the lane not paying attention when they needed to get a stop.

was that the play were harden reverted back to his old tendencies of not giving a frick on D?

Back to backs are hard, but teams win all the time on back to backs.

They just didn't hit shots they normally did, lucky for us.

In other news, AD's PER went from 33.6 to 33.92 after last night's game while Westbrook went from 34.1 to 32.8

AD is once again #1 in the league in PER through ~1/3 of the season

It was almost like a spike play in football. IIRC Jrue was the first one down and it was like the Rockets were waiting for the rest of the Pelicans so the play could start. Jrue saw the opening and took it.

Except when we went on a run in the beginning of the first half. Thats how games work. We were up 10 on 2 different occasions. We won by 9 and yall didnt even foul at the end. If you are saying that a "tight game" can end with a differential of 10 points, then thats a 20 point window as long as it was tied at some point during the game. Hell of a prediction there ole chap.
