Addazio agrees to extension with Boston College

Boston College and head coach Steve Addazio have agreed to a new contract, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Addazio will imminently sign a deal with the school that extends his contact with 2020.
This development removes Addazio from the search for a new coach at the University of Michigan, where he was considered one of the prime candidates after Jim Harbaugh. Michigan didn’t make direct contact with Addazio, but a source said the school reached out to gauge his interest.
The move signals Addazio’s desire to stay long term at Boston College, where he has completely turned around the program in just two seasons. Addazio has gone 14-11 in his two years at the school, leading the team to bowl games in both seasons. Boston College will play Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl on Dec. 27.

Michigan fans rejoice. 
With him and Schiano soon to be off the list, a lot of bullets are being dodged.
I can't wait until an irresponsible reporter says that "Addazio turns down Michigan", and this board running with the story.

But I agree with that. Stoops rumors stopped. Miles rumors stopped. The next two were Adazzio and Schiano. They are stopping. Another is Dan Mullen, who I don't think would get it done.

Don't know if you have paid attention but Miles told all the local guys he wasn't going. Yea it was off camera, and whatnot, but I believe it.
I want him to go...I also said that if Miles didn't get the offer within a pretty short window of time, he would not be going. He doesn't want to sit around and wait for Harbaugh to say no, and have the Wolverines come crawling and begging.

The Miles rumors were sort of stopped. Even though I don't think he's leaving, I wont be 100% convinced until after the bowl game. I think it dies right after that or if Harbaugh breaks his silence and comments. I don't think Miles is a 100% dead story yet.
