Today has been a lot of WTF.
Omar Salgado got bought by Tigres after failing to really make it in MLS (injuries didn't help).
Now Cubo Torres is going back to Chivas (MX) for at least six months. I hope this isn't more permanent. The league needs to hang on to this dude.

I've had my eye on a Xolos jersey for quite some time now, if this comes to fruition it will definitely push my decision over the top.

The rumor with the Cubo Torres thing is that it's a 6 month loan to Chivas, with MLS retaining his rights--likely going to Houston.
This is a strange move for Mix. I like that Tijuana is collecting young American talent, but this one confuses me. He could probably be a DP in MLS and there's been talk about offers in the Netherlands and France.

I've read that MLS is loaning him there for 6 months to decrease his $7.5 million transfer fee. Houston is apparently the leader for him once he comes back from loan.

Ah, ok. Thanks y'all for clearing that up. Houston better take that deal and run with it. This is the marquee signing they have been dying for. Young, popular Mexican national teamer.

Why did so many people expect Mix to automatically want to play for some MLS team? The dude has never even lived in America before and can play in better leagues than MLS anyway.

Did he say that after the recent move to Columbus, or whoever it was, fell through? I remember him saying he wanted to play here because he's never lived here. Maybe he recently changed his mind about the MLS.

This makes sense to me. He only just turned 24. He still might want to go back to Europe at some point. If he signed for MLS at DP money, it would be like Hotel California for him.
