well, technically mr christianity expert...

god will punish those who fail to repent MORE than those who sin and do not repent. peep luke 10:14, matthew 11:22 and a few other passages that could charitably be interpreted to suggest that some sins are worse than others.

If you were taught the precepts of the Christian religion regarding the concept of being saved, burning in hellfire etc. at age 18 instead of being conditioned at birth you would see it for exactly what it is....bullshite.

I've got no problem with Jesus. He was a wise dude who said some profound shite.

It's his followers who irk me sometimes.

All religions have a core spiritual truth behind them. It's the idiotic manmade dogmatic overlay that is the problem. It does nothing but create divisions between people, families, nations. Jesus would chuckle and shake his head at the ridiculous socially sanctioned cult that has grown up around his name and message.

Not an atheist. I believe in a spiritual essence in all of nature. I just don't subscribe to your simplistic fairy tales shithead.

How would they "die out" if homosexuality is a choice? Now I'm confused. Couldn't a bunch of atheistic heathens just decide to go homo to spite Jesus?

I'm guessing you aren't talking about "sin", though, but about blowjobs. I don't believe sexual acts committed by a married couple to and with each other are sinful,

You're right in that not all sins are equal in gravity or seriousness, but I'm speaking to a bunch of unbelievers. All sins are equal in the sense that God is so holy that any sin committed is an infinite offense against Him, and all sin, no matter how great or small, leads to damnation without repentance and faith in Christ.

In that sense all sin is equal, and that was the point I was getting at when people pick on homosexuality but don't talk about adultery, fornication, or any other sexual sin. If there's a scale, I'd assume homosexuality is "worse" than lying or getting drunk, but not as bad as murder, but all of those are equally sinful in that they are all violations of God's law.

But yes, God does see different sins as different in severity and that severity can be determined by multiple factors, including if someone knows better but does it anyway, or if the sin is done by someone in a position of power. There is the unforgivable sin and then God will punish those who willfully rejected the truth of the Gospel worse than those who never heard it.

People don't want to understand human beings and genetics go hand and hand and you get what God gives you! Acceptance is the key, some people only accept what they agree is right and not what god has said is right!
Why would God let this happen? Free will,if you have it, others do too! Gogd told you not to eat from the knowledge tree, but you assisted! Not for it or against. it, it just is! Be good!

So you are calling the Holy Ghost a liar ? Remember the unpardonable sin is blaspheming the Holy Ghost.

Just for the record. Revelations is a Revelation of Jesus Christ to the Apostle John.

Revelations 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the keys to the bottomless pit and a great chain in hand.

2. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and he bound him a THOUSAND YEARS.

3. And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, TILL THE THOUSAND YEARS should be fulfilled: and after he must be loosed a little season.

Go on, call the Holy Ghost a liar.

The unpardonable sin is speaking against the Holy Ghost.

Why would straight atheists engage in homosexuality to spite someone that doesn't exist?

Homosexuals will die out, because during Christ's thousand year reign there will be no such perversions, so he is correct.

When is that reign going to start? I want to indulge all my perversions before the deadline. I may even eat some shellfish.

God certainly doesn't like people dissing his Holy Spirit, which is also himself, but also the father of his son, who is also himself.

I find it very strange that there are educated adults walking around that believe this specific stuff...not God, but this weird sin/punishment scheme.
