Dictionary and find a local group to immerse yourself in the language (and/or go travel somewhere for a year)

Nope, I just have an interest in the classics. I took HS and college Latin and college Ancient Greek courses.

I've used it for Mandarin and Spanish. It's great. I find myself looking forward to learning with it. If you stick with it (~15-30 minutes a day), you'll find yourself retaining a lot.

I've used it. Without some sort of immersion, you'll just end up knowing some words a few years from now. Immersion and knowing the words are the two most important things

Yeah a lot of Pashtu speaking folks around here. Lot of Russians as well. Oh and don't forget the Portugese.

I read a story about a guy who learned 10 languages reasonably well by studying the Our Father in each language to get the conjunction down, and then he'd just memorize a lot of vocabulary for each language.

Anyway, I have heard good things about RS
