Problem is you don't need to foul him to get call for a foul.

quote:

"He's the best in the league at drawing fouls and getting into the paint," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "If you reach at all, it's going to be a foul. You just have to be disciplined and not stick your hand in there because he's really, really good at swiping the ball underneath you or into you and drawing contact.

"He's just crafty. He's clever. Ginobili is the only guy you can try to compare, but Ginobili doesn't try to swipe the ball underneath your arms and draw fouls as much. It's unorthodox. Players are used to going for the ball. As soon as you go for the ball, James is too smart, too quick. He's going to draw the foul."

Kerr said in addition to to instructing his players how to defend Harden without fouling, he has told them to not allow themselves to be frustrated when Harden draws fouls, anyway.

"I have to tell myself that, too," Kerr said. "It is frustrating. Like the first time we played them, I thought there were a couple bad calls and I watched the tape and was like, 'Yeah, we reached in.'"

Would Steve Kerr be considered a "professional scout"? Same wording.

All this bitch arse whining. How about just don't reach in everytime? Coaches film doesn't lie.

Believe me I keep work(what I do on the side) and fun(what I do here) separate. Work is work and the output isn't free to members of this site.

Why does he shoot more FTs in the playoffs than in the regular season then?

Playing more minutes?

2013-14 Per 36
Reg 8.6 FTA
Playoff 6.8 FTA

2 years ago he did get about a 1 FTA per game increase in the playoffs, but last year it was a significant decline as noted above.

Wow you're a fricking dumbass. Learn how to read. I said he takes advantage of the superstar treatment the most of all the stars. Wow you're dumb.

Yes people often forget that not only are the players the best in the world, but the referees are too. Of course they will miss calls from time to time but the overwhelimg majority of the time they get it right.

When guys like eric gordon and austin rivers get completely mugged at the rim and get maybe a foul call a game, compared to harden getting breathed on for an automatic foul everytime equals superstar conspiracy with harden being the posterboy

You're a clown bro there is no conspiracy.

If you take the 2 years in HOU together he shots more FT/game in the playoffs than regular season.

So you're saying that austin rivers/eric gordon gets the same foul calls as james harden when driving to the basket?

You can't possibly say that there aren't levels to this league and when you are considered a superstar you get more calls. That's a conspiracy.

DID you not read the quote by Kerr?

Harden is the best at drawing fouls, Rivers/Gordon aren't as good at it as Harden is that's why they don't get the fouls called.

Idgaf what steve kerr said about one game. If austin rivers and eric gordon do the exact same thing as harden, Harden will always end up with more calls because of his status.

You take the best qualities of Rivers and Gordon and put them into one player and Harden is still twice the player. Kerr ain't talking about one game, Kerr has seen Harden play tons of games.

They can't do the same thing as him that's what you can't get through your noggin. Harden is an elite player.

We'll see what happens this year, last year it definitely seemed like the refs were calling it different for him in the playoffs. It is however hard to deny how good he is at it.

Dude i've seen defenders come down straight on austin rivers arm and he gets no call. They don't even think twice when it's harden they always give him the benefit of the doubt.
