49. Died from a massive stroke. That was her 3rd stroke. She had also had quadruple bypass 18 months or so before that.

The death of a dog
Any dog
All dogs > all humans
I'd kill all of you to save one dog
If a genie gave me one wish, it would be for everyone on earth to become a dog except for me and a woman of my choice
If souls existed, dogs would have them
I wouldn't follow any religion that wasn't based around a k-9 or k-9-like creature
My dog > your dog > me > you

She has one....little girl that is 5. Only reason why little girl wasn't in car with them that day is that her ex's family took the other kids for a day trip (it was her ex's mom and sister that died). Her youngest has a different father. Poor thing.....can you imagine losing all your older siblings like that at 5? My heart breaks for the driver (ex's father). He was driving and only survivor. He lost his wife, daughter and grandchildren that day. And I'm sure he feels responsible since he was driving. Tire blew suddenly (and he always was timely with car maintenance so it was no neglect on his part). Just a very tragic accident.

funeral of my friend's dad when i was 15 or 16. he was an awesome guy and i was as good a friend with him as anyone at the time. we'd go play golf and shoot the shite, even when ryan wasnt with us. his last conscious moment, he woke up, and, with droopy eyes, looked at the nurse, then at me, then at the nurse, then back at me, and started laughing. flipped me the bird, and dozed off. i was a frickin mess at the funeral, and i dont cry.

Watching my late wife take her last breaths in the hospital bed after battling Leukemia.
Then the funeral a week later.

What could you say to someone to make your death less sad?
We are all going to die. Many say that their father's funeral was the worst.
What if your dad said "Son, one day I will die, and see my funeral. But, I will be waiting for you on the other side. Good luck. And don't try to understand women, just go with it."

I could go on... Unfortunately.
My father's funeral when I was 14.
My grandmother's funeral 3 months later.
Sitting ON my kitchen counter as the Katrina flood waters raised in my home 3 months after my late wife died.
My new wife's sister's stillborn baby's funeral. Even after all the above crap in my life, I don't think anything has affected me as much as seeing a 2ft long baby casket being lowered into the ground. No one should ever have to bury a baby. I, along with every man attending that funeral cried like babies.

I recently went to the open casket funeral of a child that was a few days old. Such a terrible thing.

Saddest I can think of was my friends candlelight vigil. This was in the May of 8th grade. He rode his bike straight into a truck's windshield and died on a Friday afternoon after school.. Him having no brake on his bike was his ultimate downfall.
Ill never forget it, the service was located in the exact spot where the accident happened. Somebody did a shitty job of cleaning up because there were still splattered blood stains on the road... Ill never forget it, the sun was shining the entire day until the vigil started, and then of course it had to rain Practically the whole school was there, teachers, principal, hell even the lunch ladies and bus driver. Our football coach who I thought was the meanest toughest scariest guy around, absolutely wept like a baby on his knees. The first time in my life I ever seen a grown man cry
Before this I used to ride my bike daily, to school, church, store, post office, friends place, etc you name it. After that I never touched a bike for about 6 years

Car wreck. His older brother blamed himself because he was leaving from hanging out with his brother when he wrecked. It was rough.
