I'll have to order some smoky mountain. The bacoff I've bought has always been way way too dry

I haven't had smokey moutain but part of the appeal to the bacoff by itself is it isn't that good which made me not even want it. I did good for 6 months without it. Went fishing and it was over after that haven't tried quitting since and that was four years ago. I'm gonna give it a go again. My wife doesn't like it but puts up with it, my sister is a dentist so I have to hear about it all the time.

I dipped Copenhagen for probably 15 yrs, and quit dipping 8/07. I started doing the Nicorette mints. Figured its not the nicotine that kills you, its the other crap in it. Anyhow, I basically just switched habits. Never had teeth issues and 5 months ago I had to get 3 root canals and 7, that's right, 7 crowns. Needless to say, I have now quit the Nicorette mints as well and have not had nicotine in my system for 5 months. Quitting dipping was much harder than quitting the mints.

Yes, $10k. He started at 12:00 and wife was driving me home from his office at 8:15 that evening. He's a friend of mine and the cost without his discount was $15k. Still a lot of money that could have been avoided had I never done the Nicorette mints. I guess I'm just grateful that I could afford to get all the work done at once.

Good for you. Nasty habit I gave up after almost 35 years of dippin.....
Peer pressure is a bitch though so stick around buddies who don't dip....good luck!

Walmart stocks it at the tobacco counter - at least around here - cheaper than buying it direct.

I quit for the umpteenth time in March after 18 years (I think). It seems to be sticking. I use sunflower seeds and gum when hunting and driving now.

Good luck with it. After a couple of weeks the cravings will subside.

Bless you buddy. I've tried. Absolutely no motivation to quit. And my girlfriend is a dental hygienist.

I've dipped for 15 years and tried to quit about 5 times. most recent was 2 years ago.... did ok for a couple of months....then right back. After my hunting trip to Texas I'm going to put it down again with a different strategy and motivation this time. Hopefully the results will be better.
