Is brady the current favorite? I think it was Rodgers before GB's loss to Buffalo.

Still Rodgers. He is killing everyone in the major measurements and Gronk has been getting a lot of credit for the Pats success. Rodgers would have to have some more multiple INT, no TD games to lose this one.

Rodgers

Watt has been the best player, but he has no shot.

However, will Rodgers get 49 out of 50 votes like Manning last year or 50/50 like Brady 2010? Highly unlikely, mainly due to the Bills loss. He will likely get over 30 votes, though, and win running away. There will likely be 3 or 4 others getting at least 1 vote this year, including Brady, Murray, Watt, and possibly Luck.

Only 2 players have ever won the MVP and his team not make the playoffs, O.J. Simpson being one of them. That creates a huge hurdle for Watt on top of the fact that he plays defense.

Rodgers has a better QBR, more TD's, less INT's and has his team in contention for home field advantage while Brady only has 10 more yards than him.. But yeah.. that one game Rodgers had destroyed his MVP chances..

Running backs only win the MVP by a) rushing for 2,000 yards (usually lose regardless in this instance) or b) breaking the touchdown record (guaranteed MVP). Murray will do neither, so has no prayer.

I understand that Watt is having a lights out year, but he had a lights out year last year and they went 2-14. So it's hard for me to call him the Most Valuable Player.

i dont think reasonable people think hes a legit candidate. hes great. hes every fan/coach's dream. but how valuable is he if he cant get his team to the playoffs?

They would probably have zero wins without him so I would say he is pretty fricking valuable. What other one player could you take off a team and they would have zero wins?

Hopefully you're exaggerating about the zero wins.
