Where he grew up dog fighting was the usual. After seeing him pay everything off, I have nothing but respect for him right now.

Yeah he's even put his pos brother in his place before telling Marcus to stfu. Vick has definitely done his best to redeem himself and seems to have truly matured and learned from his past self. I can appreciate that much.

He served his time, paid his debts, and has done a lot of work to try to right his wrong. Was what he did shitty and against the law? Yes. But unless I missed where he murdered someone or beat the shite out of his wife and/or kid(s) then there's no reason we shouldn't be glad he's done what he's done in the wake of his criminal activity.

When he first went back to Philly and PETA was protesting I really didn't understand it. He went to federal prison for 2 years, bankrupt, reputation destroyed. What more do you want?

I am a big dog lover. He made a huge mistake many won't forgive him for...yet he has turned into the example of people can rehabilitate. Good for him!

I think there are plenty of thugs in the league that are doing worse things than Michael Vick ever did and they will be playing this Sunday.

I really don't care about Vick either way. He fricked over a lot of people and is trying to make it right. Good for him.

But the whole "paid his debts to society" thing always irks me. You go to jail as a punishment for a crime. It doesn't mean you come out with a clean slate. He's been given additional chances to get stuff together and it appears he might have, but I have no obligation to like him.

Situations like this are interesting. You see them on reality shows, with athletes, etc. On every reality show there is that semi-normal person who is everyone's favorite, not because they're awesome, but because they're the least fricked up. I've screwed things up too, so I'm not superior to Vick, but he's doing things (paying what he owes) many of us do as a matter of course. We're praising him for doing what normal people do.

And only did it once he was caught and so that the public would move on and he could play in the NFL again

Think about what he physically, knowingly and willfully did to those dogs and the suffering they endured. frick him

frick those asians for eating cats and dogs.

frick all those people who eat beef.

see how this goes?

He's done his fair share, constantly gets hate, but has done more for society than the people constantly bagging on him. Millionaire or not, he repaid debt he could have skated by, but chose not to. That is more respectful than people I know that cheat others of just a few hundred.

Eating cats and dogs is seeing them as a food source. Although seems odd to us its a food source which food is important in life.
comparing torturing a dog for sport to people using an animal as a source of protein seems like a terrible and idiotic comparison. Maybe it worked in a bar around drunks but its retarded to say dog fighting and torturing them for losing is on par as eating something so you can continue to live

Wow. That's pretty honorable of him to do. Coupled with the unfavorable actions he took in running a dog fighting ring. When it comes to feelings about Vick, I is confused.

This. The hate is unwarranted, and juvenile.

It's not hate, but if you ask me my thoughts, he's a piece of shite. I'm not saying he shouldn't be able to make money, or that he should still be in prison. I'm not boycotting the jets or refusing to watch him play, etc.

I just think he's a loathsome piece of shite.

lets not stretch the truth when you are ATTACKING SOMEONE FOR STRETCHING THE TRUTH.

Most people who eat cats and dogs could very well raise and eat chicken or rats......

What do you feel about people who hunt rabbits or squirrel, dove, duck.... eat veal? Wear fur?

The hate isnt unwanted.
some people look at pets as part of a family and dogs in america are looked at as that to many.

Going to jail if your murder someone doesnt mean once they are out you have to like the person. Some people took what ue did very personally and can see that his donations to shelters or whatnot is done for image prob more so thab true caring about the animal.

What he did didnt effect me but for me to tell people how they should feel is much more juvinelle thinking than people who dont like him for murdering particular animals they find defenseless.if he didnt play football and was some white trash redneck thst lived across street from you im sure you would not label him one bit

Dog people are fricking insane and can't let it go. He's a model for rehabilitation and should be commended.
