A family member is wanting a nice cast iron skillet for Christmas. Don't want to buy a run of the mill retail brand . Any suggestions?

The Lodge skillets are available at most big box retailers, but Amazon does offer the best selection.

Goodwood Hardware in Baton Rouge has a huge selection.
Cabelas has a nice selection, I would assume Bass Pro would too.

One of the places in downtown Denham Springs has a bunch of cast stuff. Nice old stuff, not the run of the mill retail brand.

I see you're in thibodaux…if that's accurate, go to Houma and stop at Ace Hardware right outside the tunnel. I think it's called Davidson Hardware. Or take the short drive to Pierre Part Store. Those are your best options in close driving distance. Or you can go to Denham, Gonzales or BR. Several places on that end.
