Mullen congratulating a commit

For those that don't do/have twitter...
LINK

Firstly, this would be awesome for a recruit considering the importance of social media in their generation's lives and the recognition, and at a very important time in their lives. In effect what you have here is some of these kids equivalent to a souvenir or trophy to older generations.

Secondly, this is done from a verfied account. So it both represents MSU and Dan Mullen. Contact rules apply, but are not enforced for social media; no one really worries about that. And also I would think a coach (or school representative) talking about a recruit by name, which we all know is not supposed to happen, is also a violation.

I'm not saying MSU should get in trouble. I'm saying find out why they don't, apply the same rules and LSU should use the same "tool".

Our staff could give a shout out to Hanner Shipley, not Derrius Guice

That would make sense.

Commenting on a recruit who isn't officially signed is a major violation
