re: My nine year old daughter wants a pocket knife for Christmas

I think I'm going to go with the Victorinox Recruit knife. I looked all over for the My First Victorinox but it looks to have been discontinued. I can see her getting into the other little tools. We can get her to get beers out of the fridge and open them with her knife!! (That sounds redneck, doesn't it?)

She mostly wants to use it for no good "secret" stuff that she and her brother do outside unsupervised. She'll be fine.

she'd probably love one of those kershaw rainbow knives. But they probably aren't the best for a 9 year old.
