I will concede on Cromartie. He doesn't match up on the #1s. His numbers would be worse if asked to take the PP role. However, I think more is asked of PP (and Haden) than Lewis, which is why Peterson's numbers are worse. PP and Haden stick to the #1 and follow him everywhere. Lewis isn't asked to do that.

I stand by the others.

Could I be wrong? Sure. I'm not a CB coach or NFL scout. I also don't have to time to watch the coach's tape on all the top corners in the NFL. I have to rely on advanced stats and other's opinions, just like the rest of you.

Lewis took over that role last year after Greer went down and excelled at it, especially against the Eagles.

I'd give you PP7 if he was anywhere close in #'s, but last year he had the 55th worst Passer Rating (91.3) against him while giving up 14 ypc. Lewis had a 67.4 rating. He just hasn't had a shutdown season.

He's an elite talent, but he's too inconsistent right now and tends to fall asleep from time to time.

Now Lewis struggled in the last month, but that was due to him playing through injury b/c we had no one else.
