Agreed, and the irony is a lot of the banking influence in DC can be traced back to Clinton's Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin.

I would vote for Ted Cruz in a second but he won't even sniff at the party's nomination. Warren may have a shot.
In an head-to-head, basing it off this November's voter referendum, I'd give the nod to Cruz.

I can't say Warren is a long-shot. She will have a deathgrip on the party's base, AND she's getting OFA.
If that's a longshot, anyone except HRC is (and she's fading fast).

Didn't Warren come out yesterday and say that she's not considering a run in 2016?
"I'm not running for President." - meaning she is not running right now.
She said nothing about ruling out a run or "considering" a run. So I ask the question - why would you need a special, "Chief Liberal in the Senate" leadership position, AND OFA - if one was not even considering a run for President?
Biden and HRC are givens. Warren would run ahead of both of those in several states. Why wouldn't she consider it?

One talking head on Fox said that Warren as president would make Obama look like Ronald Regan. Cruz is detested by a very large majority of the Republican party.

Only if you believe the entire republican party consist of the stasis adoring members of congress. The establishment part of the party fears Cruz and for me that's a ringing endorsement for the senator.

You might as well start a thread "snowball vs ice cube. Which has a better chance in Hell"

re: 2016 Hypothetical: Ted Cruz vs Elizabeth WarrenPosted by Vegas Bengal on 12/17/14 at 12:34 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
She has the same shot Kucinech had and I never thought what if with either. If I disliked the nominee I would do what others here have said they'd do with a bad GOP nominee, vote 3rd party. You OTOH have said you would always vote GOP

I don't think Lieawatha can get the nomination.

I voted for Jerry brown because he went against his democratic friends and cut the budget.

I suppose for me positions on social issues are the least determining factor for selecting a president. I understand their significance but eight years of a president focused solely on the social is enough for a while.
