Now we have no chance of getting into the playoffs and have no reason to keep Mike Smith

Saints got Mike Smith fired

Still two weeks left, but I hope we can somehow beat the Falcons and still have Mike Smith around. Obviously that's too much to wish for

I know you don't believe that for a second. If you win a shootout Sunday, you'll beat the Panthers to win the division.

GTFO. Falcons still control their own destiny.

Falcons don't stand a chance. I always go when the Falcons play here in New Orleans, and have been to a few games in Atlanta and they've never won any of those games. Didn't plan on going this week but someone gave me tickets for my bday so don't really have much choice. Sorry Falcons that I've let you down. (Just returning the favor)

I'm sure the Falcons will use Mike Smith as the scapegoat. The real problem is the shiteshow you guys have going on in the front office at the GM position.

I'm really interested to see what happens with Atlanta's cap situation. We made the big contracts after our Super Bowl. Atlanta has a huge hit with Julio Jones next year, and Weatherspoon is a free agent. Also, Matt Ryan's contract numbers start to escalate big time next year. Will be interesting to see if they can keep all those guys and have money to sign guys like Trufant when his contract comes up.

That's the best part of all of this! They're actually doing us a favor by winning the South.

I was truly excited that NO won last night. This weekends game is a win-win for ATL, in my opinion.
1) You beat ATL and end our playoff chances. This 100% ensures Mike Smith is gone. Also, ensures us a top 10 pick. Thank you, that's a win!
2) Worst scenario for ATL is to win, giving our playoff chances slim hope and Mike Smith ammo to remain HC. However, I think it's still too much for this season and then it's just funny that Mike Smith would go 2-0 against the Saints on his farewell tour.

Win - Win.

I'm actually more interested to see what the Saints do.

The hell? TD is public enemy #1. They're both going, but to think Thomas is getting a pass is ridiculous.

Never said he was getting a pass. It's no mystery that good coaches get fired because of bad management decisions. You guys were lucky to get Mike Smith, and when he's gone you'll sink the bottom of the toilet of the NFC South once again. In 2 years the Falcons will be just like the Bears, Matty Ice won't develop, and Julio's leg will fall off. The only difference between Atlanta and Chicago is they'll be playing football in a gigantic reproduction of Optimus Prime's anal sphincter.

lol. Well, at least we'll be able to keep the power on when we host our super bowl in our new stadium.

If Mike Smith stays, I'm officially no longer a Falcons fan. Fact.
