A friend and i had this discussion today as to what UM would have to offer Miles for him to take or very very seriously consider the job. My friend thought a similar deal to what he has now for his salary and assistants would do it. I think they would have to go 12 mill, 6 for him and same for assistant pool. What say you?

I think he may take less for himself but if UM wants to contend any coach it hires needs 5-6 mil for the assistant pool. They underpay assistants compared to other top programs right now and this has to change.

Probably just the job itself. If you read the always reliable and unbiased Michigan blogs, they swear Miles has never, ever been offered and that each time the job comes open, his agent calls the AD thrice daily to inquire about the position. But Michigan, with all its recent success, is in a position to poach NFL coaches, so why would they even consider Miles?

The more time that goes by the less chance michigan even offers. Even if they do it would be as a next choice

Because he is the perfect coach for them at this juncture of the program. I am not a huge Miles fan but i think he is the best candidate for them, including JH.
