Miles has five years remaining on his LSU deal which comes with at least $4.3 million per year and the lure of receiving a $3 million annual raise if his team wins another national title. He is just 35 victories (about three seasons) away from eclipsing Charles McClendon as the winningest coach in the history of Tiger football.

Miles is too old to be the future of Michigan football. Their ideal candidate is one who could build and lead a program for 10+ years. Miles can't do that at his age.

Michigan should shop else where bc Les would not rebuild that program to the point that they want. They want to be Ohio state and that is not happening.

Why could he not build them to the point of Ohio State. We are every bit as good as they are year in and year out.

Ohio State is a jock school with no sense of ethics and a first-rate head coach (also with no sense of ethics). Schools like Michigan, ND, etc are done competing with top tier programs on regular basis. For lack of a better way of putting it, their academic, ethical, and cultural standards are too high.

Depends on what you are basing it on. Facts and you might need to take an online refresher course. Anticipation of what he does going forward... I might agree with you

You realize that's 11.5 wins per season, right?

because Miles did not build LSU, Saban did, Miles has merely kept it going. (arguably to some degree). A true great coach can build and sustain, an above average coach can maintain...Miles was given the keys to a ferrari and now we have a souped up Toyota with no NOS...If he wasnt so fricking stupid it could sill be a porshe or mazarati...The players/money/facilities its all there, and Saban built it and provided the blue print, only a fool would deviate from the original plans of a masterpiece...

troll all you want, say stupid shite like why dont you cheer for bama then...or your not a real fan...frick that...Its the truth, LSU wouldnt be what it is today if Saban had not come here...No way Miles could build a program like that...

Well dinardo got the ball rolling at least on the recruiting trail. Saban took it to another level. But I don't agree any idiot would have done what Les has. You may not be an idiot, but no way you sustain the success Les has. Hell you wouldn't have made it past 2005.
