Referencing a specific method of cooking the product you serve in your name and using a different method instead, is still sort of silly though.
Agree. Names generally aren't a big deal to me (although there is some seafood place in I think Lafayette that I see mentioned here with the worst name.. wish I could remember), but this isn't a tacky name situation; it is almost purposely deceitful

Who cares about the name? The burger are just average. The best thing on the menu is the beet salad.

The owner responses on yelp are quite fascinating but this is what had me rolling...

I felt like this place was a little touristy. For a few bucks less I can find a better tasting burger not too far from here. Maybe not venison or buffalo but only "out-of-towners" or little Tulane kids would find those prices reasonable.
The other thing I noticed was that "slap yo Mama" hot sauce.... Really? Might as well put a big white, lipped black caricature on the label. How about a "buck" slapping a "mammy" with some "pickaninnies" eating watermelon. No one from Louisiana eats that. I've given that product line a fair chance in my kitchen despite it's hideous name. You should reconsider adding other hot sauces to your repertoire. But I guess the Hardeveld signs were indicative of corporate wanting to "fit in". Like we say in Gert town, "if you don't know you best ax sumbody!"
I just wanted weird meat! (work with DAT)

You tell me, you would know.
Wink, that's a quality review

It did not get a response from the owner.

How do you even respond to that?
