I am driving back from Houston and stopping to get some boudin. I am deciding between Billy's and Best Stop. I have tried Don's and liked it. Just want to try another one. If anyone in New Orleans needs something from there, I might be kind and pick it up for you. You only pay for your boudin. I know there are a few on here that eat it and won't make it that way for a minute.

Why not get both. They are right down the road from each other. If I had to pick just one it would definitely be Billys though.

Billy's.

And grab some cracklins and a boudin ball and a jalapeño and cheese egg roll thing. And whatever else is fried in the checkout counter

I would love to get all of that. I like getting the stuffed pork chops at Don's. I would be fat if I lived closer to there.

Ive been stopping recently during my commute. Everything at Billy's is great for the road. Well maybe not but I'm a great eater of food in the car.

The seasoned boneless chicken thighs are legit

I might have to get the chicken thighs. I usually stop whenever I get out this way. It isn't too often though, maybe twice a year.

I grab them because I usually have an ice chest in the car.

Boudin and cracklins are a must get imo. All the rest is extra

I would definitely recommend visiting both stores just to say you did, especially if you do not travel in that area very often. The line inside Billy's can get long and slow, I would recommend going to the drive through even if that one looks long.

The title of this thread made me think of the poem, "Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening."

I thought maybe someone had Cajunized it. Anyone want to try?
