Touch one of the buttons below your place in line. It'll take you to the corresponding app then just go back to the Robinhood app. You can get into the low 1,000's in about 20 minutes.
ETA: I just received my invite. It took about two days using the method above to bump myself up the list. My brother just tried the same thing and it's moving him up in line but it's a lot slower than it was for me.

Just press on people in front of you, then the home button, then go back in and do that again. It's slow though. Or you can press on the twitter/email links and then go back in

There's a screen that shows how many people are in front and behind you. Below those numbers are buttons for Facebook, Twitter and email. Touching one of these launches the corresponding app. Once you switch to the other app just go back to Robinhood and your place in line will improve. When my brother did it yesterday it was going a lot slower than it was for me but it's an option if you want to get an invite faster. I was able to get an invite two days after I requested a place in line. I spent about an hour total over those two days but it seems like it'll take more time now.

I know how they are making money. The stock trades for $5.96 but when you place the trade on their app you get a buy at $6.02. Done millions of times and these guys will retire.

Got my account verified. Now I'm waiting for my $100 transfer to go through.
It's taken me about 2 weeks to get this far, from first download of the app till now.
