Ex-NFL S Darren Sharper was charged Friday in a nine-count grand jury indictment stemming from multiple rape allegations in New Orleans.

Along with two other men, Sharper faces life behind bars without parole. He was indicted on two counts of aggravated rape after he allegedly assaulted two impaired women at his apartment in September 2013. Sharper was additionally charged with simple rape of a different woman from August 2013. Sharper has also been investigated for rape in California, Arizona, Florida, and Nevada.

Lock him in the dungeon and throw away the key. Or shoot him and save us the money. Upon proven guilty of course.

It's a shame what he did.

I've always gone on record against rape.

I only support rape if the life of the mother is at stake, or in cases of incest.

So, a white grand jury has indicted a single black male. With the Ferguson protestors' symbol being the "hands up, don't shoot " sign, what would be a good symbol for Sharper's supporters to use? Will be looking for The Most Honorable Al Sharpton to jet down any day now.

Not sure what you mean, but grand juries simply decide whether there is enough evidence to indict (formally charge) someone. They don't actually decide whether someone is guilty or not... just whether or not there's enough evidence to send the case forward to trial. (I assume it works the same in La.)

Having been sucked into grand jury duty twice, I can say the standard of evidence does not have to be very high to indict. Of the 20 or 30 cases the juries that I served on viewed, there was always enough of a case that we agreed to indict every time... and I think with the exception of 1 or 2 cases, it was always a consensus.

"Oh no! it's Darren Sharpwer...one of the hardest hitting safeties in da League"

just read up on him...$2.5MM bond, and he could get life in prison! shite.

do Saints fans give him consideration for his performance on the field, or do they think he's a piece of shite?

what if he really does support rape if the woman's life is at stake...or if his sister says no.
