A question about Google Chrome

I have a business that requires desktop PC's. So I recently bought two new HP's . . . one for home and one for work.
I'm having trouble with the new HP at work when it comes to Google Chrome. I share an ATT modem with the guy in the office next to mine. Explorer and Firefox work fine. But Google Chrome will lose the connection often. I've reloaded, emptied cache but it's weird. It's just not happy with the network it seems (as I say not a true network I suppose, although I get that message). Very strange.
I know this is vague and I'm far from super tech savvy, but I thought I'd take a shot here. Any suggestions or similar experiences? Why would Explorer and Firefox work fine, but not Chrome?

I use Google Chrome. I think you have the solution.
The network is not playing nice with your system.
FWIW

Try Chrome in Windows safe mode w networking.
If it seems to work there then there may be a video driver that Chrome is using that is causing you an issue.
What version of Chrome?
