It was focused on groups of a particular ideology that were in opposition to the sitting President on the eve of an election.........hence the word "Targeting".

All they are showing is that the DOJ and IRS were looking into suing organizations that lied...

As much as I wish there was a real investigation into this, which there never will be, this is no smoking gun or even anything close.
It COULD one day, be a marginal piece to the puzzle but on it's own and in conjunction with everything we "have" it still adds to nothing.

i don't understand why the DOJ would be involved in this. It would be much more scandalous if it was the DNC or campaign staff.
eta: iread the OP link, and this seems just like the IRS was asking the DOJ to go after these groups. I don't see that as being particularly problematic unless the DOJ actually went after them when there was no wrong doing.
