I'm curious in that as well. I doubt they were able to unload one of Either or Crawford given the Philles are rebuilding. Nice move by the Dodgers to fill a big hole regardless.

One of the Dodgers websites is saying that it was for 2 minor league pitchers, but they're not releasing their names yet.

Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports the Marlins and Dodgers are in "serious talks" about a trade that would send Dee Gordon to the Marlins for Andrew Heaney.

Interesting.

Do you think Rollins has another year left in him? That seems to be the plan; get a year out of Rollins, then bring up Corey Seager to play SS in 2016.

He's an excellent stop gap. No long term commitment, still plays good defense, and while his average/OBP isn't great anymore, he's still capable of putting up solid counting stats.

It's a big gamble, .240 last year as is but he did still have some pop and stole 28 bases.

As long as he stays healthy again you'll live with the low average and his HR numbers will def drop, not sure how he was defensively last year I'm sure his range has dropped a lot.

Right, but it's a steady decline, just depends on how much of one year after year at his age there is no telling. Part of the gamble.

He gets off he turf and gets to play on grass now, moves to a contender, and isn't depended heavily for offense anymore. It's a great situation for both sides. He'll do just fine there.
