Maybe you guys could shed some light here. I'm trying to get a pretty basic policy. I've gotten a few quotes that I would consider pretty high. I'm on progressives website. Its not allowing me to put uninsured pd and collision on my policy together. Its making me choose one or the other. This makes no sense to me. Also I don't see anywhere to select how much I would like to be covered.
ie:10,000-50,000/50,000-100,000/100,000-300,000

All they are showing me is how much my deductible would be for comprehensive and collision.

Call the company you're interested in, I've had much better results talking to someone than trying to find how to add uninsured/etc. online for a quote

You won't get UMPD and collision, you can get UM and collision however

Also you can't name your coverage, it comes in tiers

15/30/25

25/50/25

Etc...you can change your property damage coverage per accident possibly but not if it is not compatible with your bodily injury coverage

ever notice how many hit and runs are reported when Pat is giving you the traffic situation in B R - folks sign up for insurance for a month and cancel - when they have a fender bender - they haul arse.

It's really high.

For me a 50k/100k with a $500 comprehensive deductible is nearly $200 a month on a paid off truck. The car has liability only as I laughed when I got the FC quote for it.
