I see mora posted all the time. The guy is a wc guy through and through. Even when he was a HC in the nfl he talked about coaching out west being a dream and how he'd make the switch. I think we'd also have to consider nfl coordinators as well.

How about Kliff Kingsbury? And keep Chief to run the defense.

Are you saying that the Memphis guy...MEMPHIS, is equivalent to Miles at OSU and his past or Saban at MSU and his past?

How does he compare to Freeze?

You really think the SEC itself wouldn't want two of its teams in the NC game? Twice the $ for the conference and a guaranteed national champion.

Why? The myth of jdr in Louisiana is truly puzzling to me.

Maybe I don't know enough of the game, but I'm surprised no one's mentioned Mark Dantonio's name yet.

And I'd suggest Chris Petersen, but he just got to Washington.

My list if I'm LSU's AD:

1. Gary Patterson

2. Jumbo Fisher

3. Art Briles

4. Dan Mullen

5. Kirby Smart

All five of those guys would be great hires and I think the top three would actually be upgrades.

Patterson has won conference titles in three different leagues. He took TCU from a mid-tier Conference USA team to three points away from winning a Big 12 title and making the Final Four.

Patterson would kill it at LSU. I think Briles and Jimbo Fisher would, too.

One of my candidates has been listed several times (Mark Dantonio)...so, really no need to harp on him.

But another - rather interesting one (IMO) would be Dana Holgorsen. A lot of people might laugh, because of his record at West Virginia, but the guy runs an offense that gives Saban fits. His "Airraid" offense is so much fun to watch, and I really think he could do a phenomenal job with the recruits we're able to get. A lot of people talk about how "vanilla" our offense is, or how boring it is to watch - don't believe you can say that about Holgerson's offense.

Miles + Cameron to Michigan

Holgerson + Chief at LSU

I can't believe any program would touch Jimbo Fisher right now.

Put him into Louisiana culture and you have tabloid headlines for days. Advocate writers would be busy

And no thanks. He's one of those that is a good coordinator but a jackass as a HC
