I understand that Choctaw is actually Kirk Herbstreit. He seems to be trying to make up for his last Miles blunder by going extreme in the opposite camp now.

I differ greatly with Choctaw on many issues, but please do not insult him like that.

Wondered the very same thing...what coach would take the Meeeechegan job knowing the guy that hired you could soon be gone?

Worked out okay for Penn St. fwiw. And they were in a far worse situation.

Or maybe if Hackett lands Miles, Michigan removes the "interim" tag and Miles works for his friend. Might be part of the deal.

Miles could hold a press conference giving his answer and nobody in Baton Rouge or Ann Arbor would know where he's coaching next year.

so true, but there are a few words many will recognize, "want" and "quality" and "team" and "enjoy"

Also on a side note, the article states that Cutcliffe was not offered the UM job, and Duke also says the same.

If belowpar didn't say it, then it didn't happen. Proof: here.

At this point, I really don't care if he stays or goes. If, however, LSU offers a raise/extension to keep him, someone needs to be fired.
