It will be insanely fun to see how the Saints come out for this game.

Do you think that we'll be fired up and loaded for Bear? These are two similar teams (both vastly underachieving) with very potent offensive weapons that has seen their respective seasons go sideways.

Will Vaccaro dress? If so, will he get in the game barring injury?

Prediction:

Saints 24
Bears 21
Overtime. Shayne Graham (holds off Emo today during tryouts) kicks the game winner.

This will be my last Saints game of the season (in person) barring an incredible run to the NFC Divisional or Championship round. I probably will have limited tailgating as I'll be racing from a conference out by O'Hare back downtown to meet my GF. Tickets are dirt cheap - planning on waiting until Monday afternoon to get some 200 level club ducats for under $100 apiece.

I could see them beating the Bears and falcons. Yet when they would need to beat the bucs they lose on a last second field goal.

It would be really fun if the Falcons lost to Pittsburgh and this was a big game that set us up for clinching at home next week.

50% chance of rain and low-40s. I think the Saints not being an outdoor team is wildly distorted, but the conditions wouldn't favor our team since Chicago can run the ball and our defense couldn't stop a Cam Newton in traction from running it. It also doesn't help that our line doesn't seem to want to block for our franchise QB, much less Mark Ingram.

I put our win chances at or under 20%. 38-27 Bears.

I agree with that weather not being a great sign for us - their big WR's and Cutler's strong arm would be more effective "boxing out" and having sustained drives. We're clearly a more finesse passing team than Chicago is. Also I agree with their defense being better than us - especially at home.

With that said, we ARE capable of running the football and the Bears CAN be run on. We have a very healthy backfield. Keep in mind that if we somehow get up 10-0 or 14-0 early the Bears home crowd is EXTREMELY disgruntled and down on their team and the team has nothing to play for.

Accuscore (whom I respect greatly) has us winning this game 65% of the time. I feel like it's closer to Saints 45% Bears 55% but with the intangibles favoring us (so much to play for in theory, Payton shaking things up).

Probably depends more on Armstead being healthy than anything. Bryce Harris is a tub of lard that shouldn't even be on a 53, much less starting away at one of the hardest places to play in the NFL. I agree our backfield is quite formidable, but the way this line played last week I don't like what I see in my crystal ball.

that sucks - 40's is great weather this time of year up here and the hotels are DIRT cheap this weekend. Staying in the Conrad for work Monday - Thursday so price was mostly irrelevant but the rate was only like $155 which INCLUDES valet parking. Insane for a 4.5 star hotel off of Mich. Ave.

Game tickets are basically free - especially if you just want to get in the stadium. I think they'll be some for under $20 on Stubhub Monday afternoon.

We had a group going, but my friend's family member passed away and he had to back out.

My wife didn't want to go without them since I wasn't going to be shopping all weekend

Yea, we got a direct flights for less than $200 too. Pretty bummed, but I'm just going to do a staycation and travel to the 2nd playoff game after our home win

I should have gone to Pitt

"Fun" and "Saints" aren't two words I'd use in the same sentence these days.

Which would be great. SP is pretty good after bye weeks and we played our best football following it.

If it rains:
17-13 Bears

If it doesn't rain:
30-27 Saints

Rain might actually help us. They're a terrible running team

Yeah I didn't realize they were so pass heavy. Haven't really watched da Bears at all this season. Hopefully Cutler throws our CBs some early Christmas presents if you catch my drift.

It really pains me to say this, but I think it will be Bears 31 Saints 16.

I don't see the Saints connecting in the red zone, and I don't see the defense being able to stop the Bears. AT ALL. I"ve given up hoping for stuff like turnovers or game-changing sacks from this defense. They gave up 19 points in one quarter against Pittsburg and 17 points in half a quarter against the Panthers. 14 points in one quarter against the Falcons. Cincinatti only punted twice all game. Maybe the numbers are a little better but they are historically 2012 type bad.

I just think it's highly unlikely that the Saints offense will score points EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY HAVE THE BALL. Which is basically what it would have taken for them to beat the Panthers or win a lot of these games this year.

My dad and brother will be there. Last Bears/Saints game they went to was the 2006 NFCCG. Hoping for a better result.
