Good Morning , First time poster to the site . Ive enjoyed the forum so far , good stuff here. Question is : Wife's wanting new shotgun for Christmas . I'm leaning towards the A300 ,being a Beretta man for a long time , and was wondering if anyone would consider this a good choice considering the weight & feel for a woman (Understand my wife is no "sissy" when it comes to hunting) What other guns would ya'll recommended ? This would be more of a backwater weapon apposed to a "blind gun". Thanx in advance

Welcome to the OB.

And yes, the A300 should be just fine for her.

a300 - $750 (650 if black)
stoeger 3500 (650 + $50 rebate from stoeger)
franchi affinity (i doubt your wife shoots 3.5s lol) - $829.99

just dont get her a piece of shite mossberg

I bought one last year. It is a great gun for a good price. I have took mine duck hunting prob 10+ times and to a couple of dove shoots as well. Never had any jams.

Only thing I don't like about it is that is don't shoot 3 1/2". But over all a great gun.

She went and looked at an A5 the other day . Said she liked the feel , but had no A300 on site. Ive had both Browning and Beretta , with really no complaints on either. A5 is gonna be pricey I imagine. She's rough on stuff too , so A300(composite)may be the way . I would imagine A5 being heavier than the A300 , so I may just go with the A300. Smart man would take her and let her pick it out , but she likes surprises.......and cake
